Everest Trekking Company is built and run by people who started on the mountain as porters and guides before ever sitting in an office. The team below has collectively completed more than 400 Everest Base Camp departures. Every member listed has walked the Khumbu trail in person, multiple times.
Our Founder
Kiran Basnet
Founder
Kiran Basnet was born in Dhading District and began his career in trekking as a porter in the Khumbu. He worked his way up to become a licensed guide before founding Everest Trekking Company at 26 years old. He currently owns and operates three registered trekking companies in Nepal: Everest Trekking Company, Next Trip Nepal Treks and Expedition, and Manaslu Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. He remains hands on across all three companies and oversees every departure personally.
